Leif Podhajsky’s work for Ballantine’s ‘artist series’ is a distinctive offering that houses the finest of scotch whisky. The visual artist, who’s work has been seen on album covers across the world, was inspired by the process of whisky making – using its craftsmanship at the forefront of its design.
Simple yet nostalgic, Leif’s work comes in three separate forms: The Ballantine’s finest tin, sleeve and the 12 year old tin – each with it’s own personal homage to the curation of Ballantine’s. The 12 year old tin in particular takes cue from the aesthetically pleasing landscape of Scotland, mixing blue hues with silver tones the image represents the flowing streams of the highlands.
“Before starting on the designs for Ballantine’s I spent time in Scotland exploring the rugged, natural landscapes and getting to understand the process of whisky making to get inspiration.
