Day Trip to San Fruttuoso
Named one of the best beaches in Italy, a day trip to San Fruttuoso is a must. The idyllic cove is home to an old monastery built in the 10th century and set within a medieval abbey. With no access from the road, the beautiful beach is only accessible by boat or via one of the hiking trails. You can hop on a ferry from the port of Camogli or Portofino, it takes around 30 minutes and the ferries run every hour. Booking a restaurant is advisable as it gets very busy. Bring a towel or hire a lounger on the beach for around €20 euros a day. If you want to sit back, relax and absorb the divine surroundings, you can grab a traditional Italian bite at the beach bar and an afternoon Aperitivo. The last ferry leaves around 5pm, so make sure you check the schedule to make sure you make the most of your day.
Sundowner Spot
La Rotonda
La Rotonda is the postcard sundowner spot. Book around 6pm and enjoy an Aperitivo on the terrace as you watch the burning orange sunset. This place gets packed, so book a table if you want to enjoy dinner as the sun sinks into the ocean. The restaurant is fantastically situated on a pier of rocks and sandy surroundings. The whitewashed décor teamed with cute, Cuban style umbrellas is the most magically setting to watch the sunset. One of the best places in Camogli to enjoy an evening beverage and freshly prepared local cuisine.
