L’Envol de Cartier

L’Envol de Cartier

Cartier are renown for their prestige, their almost ethereal quality as a brand representative of that glass ceiling purchase. But as often happens when a brand releases a fragrance, that aspirational price point is temporarily relinquished in favour of a more affable one, which is – much like the low reaching branches of a tree – accessible to many.

With their first men’s fragrance in eight years Cartier have done just that, tasking parfumeur Mathilde Laurent with it’s creation. Based on a composition described as an oriental-transparent, L’Envol de Cartier is an Eau de Parfum that plays on duality; the residing scent is both sweet and musky.

“No man can reveal to you aught but that which already lies half asleep in the dawning of your knowledge.”

As always with Cartier, the periphery is as important as the essence, and the bottle for L’Envol de Cartier is no exception with its flacon being comprised of a capsule contained within a detachable glass dome. This function means that the capsule can be carried separately and is also refillable. Drawing on their extensive tradition, their famous guilloché motif sits on the etched lid, while their glasswork expertise is evidenced throughout. True Cartier.

L`Envol de Cartier Eau de Parfum for men is available from Harrods at a very reasonable starting price of £64 (50ml).
