Every year between March and May is season of Sakura (the Japanese word for cherry blossom) this elaborate flower represents a fresh outlook for many, and is celebrated by those in Japan by the art of Hanami. This celebration is one of growth and reflection as the cherry blossom takes centre stage and is honored for its transient beauty.
To elaborate on the this season Suntory whiskey have teamed up with Shochu Lounge at ROKA on Charlotte street to create a full immersive experience. Enhanced by the elaborate cherry blossoms that hang over the bar area the installation is a reflection of yozakura (hanami at night) and captures the true nature of Japaenese culture.
Evenings at Shochu Lounge will complemented by bespoke Sakura cocktails using Hibiki Japanese Harmony throughout season. Each curation is perfect balance of sweet, warmth and delicacy allowing the senses to divulge within the surroundings – the perfect a complement.
