The Bamford business model is a unique one. Based on elevation and expertise. Taking the best and making it, well… better.
True to form Bamford Watch Department deliver another notch in its discography in the form of The BWD x Badgerworks TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 with Tropical Coffee Dial. Known for its clean, clear design – the Calibre 5 movement is a synonymous part of the Tag portfolio mixing precision in both efficiency and stylistic nuances – seen evidently in engraved “TAG Heuer” on the casing.
The story begins with the fascination amongst collectors for vintage watches when it comes to tropical dials, ones that form irregular faded dials, but are also completely unique in each creation. In the case of the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 the idea was to create them using a recycled source hence why ground coffee was used.

The coffee of choice? A specially roasted batch from Cafe da Matteo located in Goteborg, Sweden. The coffee was then formed into dial blanks and hand-finished to bring a natural vibrancy in the timepieces and also the nostalgic aroma of the beans.
The collaboration as a whole speaks further to a Bamford Watch Department’s core premise. Doing everything in a modern way, being authentic and progressive — almost simultaneously.
