Meridian Audio DSP3200 Loudspeakers

Meridian Audio DSP3200 Loudspeakers

It was in the early 1970’s that two Cambridge students made their acquaintance; a fated meeting driven by their mutual love of music. Since then Bob Stuart and Allen Boothroyd have spent the last 35 years developing that high-performance audio standard that has become a signature feature of Meridian Audio.

Meridian’s progress has been somewhat understated given their achievements but 2012 has seen them once again come to the fore with their Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technologies and wireless technologies. Meridian’s growth can be summed-up by their recent work in the new Range Rover 2013 Model1 which sees Meridian showcase their Trifield 3D technology in a sound system that boasts Meridian’s Signature Reference System comprising of a 1700 watt, 24 channel surround sound system and 29 separate speakers.

Today JOSHUA’s look at Meridian’s DSP3200 Loudspeakers which – despite their relatively diminutive size – deliver powerful, room-filling sound with a performance to match much larger conventional system. The elegant loudspeakers echo the lines of Meridian’s flagship DSP8000 and are the most compact Meridian loudspeakers designed to date.

Furthermore, the speakers can be connected via Meridian SpeakerLink making connecting the DSP3200 to Meridian components fast and simple.

Featuring a wide-range driver that allows the DSP crossover frequency to be well outside the speech band, the DSP3200 delivers an effortless sound that remains clear, open and spacious, even at high listening levels. – Meridian Audio

In addition to a seamless digital crossover system, the DSP3200’s digital signal processing provides dynamic bass protection while delivering clear, accurate, quality sound – at high levels and for prolonged periods.

The antithesis of a flippant gift, the Meridian Audio DSP3200 loudspeakers retail at £3,750 (including VAT) per pair and are available from  www.rsavsolutions.com.

A timeless, emotive gift of note.

  1. The Range Rover 2013 is available to pre-order this month, with deliveries scheduled to start from early 2013.
