Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring Summer 2013

Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring Summer 2013

This Spring Summer Louis Vuitton shows an aspirational wardrobe based on a seafaring collection for hotter climates. The collections highlights that while fashion is seasonal, there are many garments that transcend the climate to be current all year round; the mac, bomber jacket and DB6 Blazers all feature in this sartorially educative collection.

The French brand’s technical expertise is shown in their combination of lightweight and technical fabrics with functional design. Louis Vuitton suits define summer elegance; finished off with a mother-of-pearl detailed nautical charm brooch and housing a small interior pocket only indicated by “points darrét” stitching. The simple colour palette, concentrating on navy and white exudes an air of crispness and elegance.

The sportier side of the collection uses lightweight fabrics and relaxed shapes create easy silhouettes. White is again a prominent colour embellished by subtle designs, illustrated by the polo with a printed Damier motif on pocket, the Gaston V signature and the horn button.

With this selection of sporty yet classic silhouettes, Louis Vuitton continues to develop it’s involvement in the world of ocean racing. The bags – always a strength for LV – once again exude elegance while challenging the use of modern technologies and colouring. The bold prints and flashes of fluorescents offer various opportunities to make a statement. Another seasonally transcendent part of the collection, the footwear – demonstrates how the seemingly formal can be styled and worn with move conventional summer fabrics; the epitome of aspirational summer elegance.
