ETRO RAJASTHAN

The central and defining feature of ETRO has always been their ability to use seemingly disparate colours in intricately fussy patterns yet still end up with a garment that is more than wearable. It’s almost as if ETRO view the rainbow as a challenge with each collection striving to better their ever increasing colour palette, a reflection of natures unending spectrum of colours. It appears that ETRO treat their fragrance compositions in a similar fashion.

In true ETRO fashion, their subject of inspiration for their latest Eau de Parfum is the colourfully fragrant chaos of India. Entitled Rajasthan, the fragrance interprets the jeweled Maharajaha’s cities, the breathing of the earth and energy of the desert.

The Fragrance

A poetic and seductive fragrance that suggests an impatient prophecy,
the fresh aroma of a winter lemon flower combined
with the sweetness of the strong damask rose and the languor of mimosa.
The skilled sensuality of amber and white musk are enlivened
by a strong pink pepper bite,
which gradually gives way to the delicate notes of labdanum
which then turn to the magnificence of sweet acacia.
A fragrance that promises another summer enclosed
in the yellow corollas which are as velvety as talc and as sweet as honey.

The bottle itself is something that we would imagine to be the synesthetic translation of the fragrance contained within; boldly coloured, sinuous Paisley leaves outline open and cosmopolitan accents as if to convey the timeless grace – enticing and ever modern.

ETRO Rajasthan Eau de Parfum (100ml) launched this month in select retailers and is priced at £112 (RRP).
