The Bamford Mayfair collection returns in 2018 with a new aesthetic of vibrant and earthy colours in a capsule collection called the “Territory Pack”. Given that the original Bamford Mayfair range only launched in November 2017, most would be wary of launching a new range so close to that of the original – but not George Bamford.
This a direction that’s not altogether surprising given the very nature of the Bamford brand and what it stands for – the ideal of true customisation. George Bamford is involved in a disparate variety of projects, each with a seemingly infinite range of options, all connected by this ideal and distinguished by the quality in their execution. The Bamford Auto Department, Bamford Grooming, Bamford Cycling Department – the list goes on and is set to grow if George’s recent comments are anything to go by.
Discussing this latest range extension, George explains that “these new colours are the first in what will be a number of releases throughout the year extending the range” meaning that with palpable anticipation, we can expect to see more options and varieties unveiled throughout the year.

Available on either a 40mm matte black case with a HI-TECH matte ceramic bezel with embossed numbers, or a 40mm grey case featuring an anodised aluminium bezel, three of the watches are inspired by the subterranean terrain, with the other two more exuberant colours – bright yellow and seductive pink- designed to catch the eye and challenge the norm of the horological space.
As a final nod to the full customisation options enjoyed to the Bamford Watch Department clientele, it is also possible to engrave the caseback with a personal message of up to 20 characters, to add that personal touch for an even more pertinent gift – or alternatively, an inspirational gift to oneself.
