The smell of ones clothes is understandably not at the forefront of ones daily thinking; it’s something that we ordinarily leave to ‘chance’, or perhaps a decision simply left to the hands of another. For most, this is probably because you don’t actually care, at the end of the day(s) the garment will return to the machine from whence it came only to resurface a few days later in a preordained location – which is more than likely your wardrobe. That said, there are few that care, and we’re pretty sure more would care if they were aware that an alternative to the mainstream existed.

Japanese well being brand retaW (the word Water in reverse) have addressed this need; not because it was a latent requirement, but because for them it was common sense. When it comes to body washes, retaW’s are the amongst the most unique available to market; their mesmeric, originally intricate scents coupled with a sensory showering experience make their offering hard to compete with. Building on this philosophy retaW decided that if you like their scents so much on your skin, why not your clothes? And hence the retaW Fragrance Fabric Conditioner was born.

Like the rest of the Hiroshi Fujiwara’s skincare range the retaW Fragrance Fabric conditioners are as kind the environment as they are to your clothes –

Non Chloric, No Artificial Colour, Non Sulphuric, Non Phosphorus and No Animal Ingredients.

Use he Fragrance Fabric conditioner in machine1 (or hand) wash to soften and lightly fragrance your clothes with your chosen scent. In this particular occasion we take a look at the champagne and bergamot blend of retaW’s EVELYN*2 scent.

Having your clothes washed in the same fragrance that you do… If that isn’t aspirational living, then quite frankly, we don’t know what is.

  2. Most of the names for the retaW fragrances are related to music; EVELYN* with a champagne type scent is named after Evelyn “Champagne” King.
