Well, Bond has finally released, live sport is well and truly live again, and there’s a new watch hitting the shelves to compliment your new lease on life.
Seamlessly suited cohorts Chopard and Bamford have come together to present a new racing timepiece for the active gentleman. Both gritty and refined, the 33 numbered Mille Miglia Bamford Edition is an exercise in sporty design. It’s one of those watches that you want to hold and examine for hours on end, discovering new flourishes in the bezel or functions in the many mechanisms that make this beauty tick.
The Mille Miglia Bamford Edition features an elegant combination of black and dark grey that is reminiscent of vintage car colourways, and the flame orange accents instantly recall that thrill of ignition. The 42 millimetre-diameter case is made of bead-blasted DLC (diamond like carbon) stainless steel that is scratchproof and racetrack-ready.
Never just a pretty face, the collaborative chronograph is equipped with a high-precision watchmaking ‘engine’ certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and visible through a sapphire Miglia arrow-emblazoned case, the mechanism boasts automatic winding and a 42-hour power reserve. Glowing green in the dark, or else resting in a slick gunmetal grey, the face displays hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. The watch is an instrument for accurate speed measurement as well as an ineffably slick looking timepiece.
