Mind you, the time has brought to the surface brands with new perspectives and heritage brands that deserve their time. This notion appeals very much to Parisian based Casablanca and New balance for instance, who have chosen the current moment to come to together on a collaborative product. The Casablanca x New Balance 327.
The shoe is fairly new to the partnership world and a brand new silhouette that speaks to a wider audience. Unlike the 990, the 327 benefits from a streamlined, stripped-back mindset. Originally seen in Casablanca’s most recent collection, it aims to tell the story of Casablanca founder and creative director, Charaf Tajer’s rich duel French and Moroccan heritage. The green and orange hark back to tones of Moroccan oranges and tennis uniforms, while the shoe itself was inspired by New Balance’s archive of 70’s runner – both of which act as a subtle sporting reminder.
