Yes there are various headsets etc, but now thanks to a collaborative project between denim experts Levi’s and technology firm Google, we have a stylishly functional alternative for modern cyclists.
The Levi’s® innovation team and Google ATAP joined forces to create a modern version of denim: The Levi’s® Commuter Trucker Jacket, with Jacquard technology woven in.
To achieve this Levi’s created a denim – not just any denim, but a special variant with conductive yarn woven into the fabric which turns it into an interactive textile. Using the digital connectivity provided via a smart tag, the Jacquard platform by Google ATAP dictates how it works for you.
Users are able to program the level of interaction with their device, and what features are most important to them, such as adjusting music volume, silencing a call, or getting an estimated ETA to their location. A stylish solution to wearable technology.
